Change log

Feb 18, 2011 12:00: Ingo Dierkschnieder changed "Term asked" from "Rechnung" to "Rechnung tragen" , "Field" from "Medical" to "Law/Patents" , "Field (specific)" from "Medical: Pharmaceuticals" to "Law (general)"

Feb 18, 2011 13:03: Kim Metzger changed "Level" from "PRO" to "Non-PRO"

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (3): Helen Shiner, Ingo Dierkschnieder, Kim Metzger

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

Horst Huber (X) Feb 23, 2011:
Take into account is indeed the first thing to think of, but -- in the actual situation, the request was complied with, "fully" to boot, so something more decisive might be in order?
784512 (X) Feb 18, 2011:
If so... Then you should submit an answer, and the question should, arguably, be switched back to a Pro question. (If your answer is correct, I mean... since obviously it was not immediately obvious to myself and the two others who agreed with my answer).

The sources I used referenced EU law.

Agree with TonyTK xxx
TonyTK Feb 18, 2011:
While Rose's answer would ... ... certainly be correct in 99% of cases, we're talking Austrian law here and I can't help thinking that "(einem Antrag) Rechnung tragen" is equivalent to "(einem Antrag) entsprechen/stattgeben".
For example: http://www.jusline.at/46._Bestimmungen_über_die_Familienzusa...
(see no. 6).
784512 (X) Feb 18, 2011:
category I reported it to the moderators regarding the category. It's certainly not medical. I expect they'll check the PRO / NON-PRO status, too.
adamgajlewicz Feb 18, 2011:
@asker Is it a medical term? I suggest the word be reclassified from PRO to NON-PRO.

It could also be: "allowed for", as dict.leo.org suggests, but I don't think this sounds as good.

In drawing up their indicators, they should take into account the indicative methodology and list of examples of indicators published by the Commission, as well as a categorisation of fields of intervention to be proposed by the Commission upon entry into force of this Regulation.

For the first report, our Group and the Greens had introduced a series of amendments intended to redirect the report towards a competition policy approach which is more favourable to the consumer and to take into account the specific character of the general interest services.
