quality assurance
The expression is from a letter a US-company sent to particpants in a survey about the company's products and services.
Context:
"As a result of this survey, we have implemented and will continue to focus on the following actions:
• Implementing an in-line process quality station system where product quality is closely monitored and identified problems are addressed promptly"
I understand that this system is something to ensure quality, I'm just puzzled somewhat by "station", how that fits in, and what exactly "in-line" is. My asumption is "integrated into the production line", but I'm not sure. So without knowing what exactly "in-line" means, "process" could collocate with "in-line" or with "quality", which makes a difference in meaning. Do you have any suggestions?

: "Produktionsbegleitend". Na ja, man lernt nie aus. Siehe Diskussionsbeitrag.

Discussion
Nochmals vielen Dank an alle!
