As you will see from a.m. Wikipedia articles in English and German, both terms "angle" (Winkel) and "step" (Schritt) are used for these motors. Each term has its proper meaning, which cannot be used instead of the other. "Winkelgesteuert" (angle-controlled) is different from "Schrittgesteuert" (step-controlled).

The difference is in the application. You have to output several pulses for stepping to the desired angle.
