in a normal/healthy person, who, let's say, just thought he saw someone he knew, or heard something that wasn't said, misperception would be correct. In the context of a delirium (let's talk white mice), hallucination should be better.

states of delusion or hallucination is teh result of faulty perception. But if I were you, I would not use misperception
