The collocations "apparently well-circumscribed" and "apparently circumscribed" google well and throw up mostly medical g-hits.

circumscribe = to form or mark the limits of; to limit narrowly; restrict
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/circumscribe
Randwall --> border(s), margin(s)
The '-artig' part of the ST is taken care of by 'apparently'.

'wall-like' or 'in the form of external walls'
There are quite a few translations of 'Randwall' as 'wall' on linguee.de.
There is also an abstract in German and English where it is translated as 'external wall':
"Because of its sclerosed **external wall**, the benign calcaneal cyst is stable with normal biomechanics;"

resembling a peripheral ridge
der Randwall ist Folge eines subperiostalen Hämatoms: the peripheral ridge is caused by a subperiosteal hematoma
der Randwall ist Folge eines subperiostalen Hämatoms: the peripheral ridge is caused by a subperiosteal hematoma
Example sentence:
der Randwall ist Folge eines subperiostalen Hämatoms: the peripheral ridge is caused by a subperiosteal hematoma
