Hello!
I have been working for a client for a while doing translation and subtitling services, and they pay me 4 € per video minute. This time, they sent me two videos and their subtitles, but they had the wrong timing (they appeared sooner than they should). I only had to do "set delay for all subtitles" on Subtitle Workshop. What do you think it would be the appropriate rate for this service? The videos have different lengths, so I don't think it would be fair to do the rate per video minute, as this job would take the same amount of time no matter the length of the video. Does anyone have experience with this kind of tasks? If so, what is your rate for this? Thanks a lot! ▲ Collapse

If it really is just 10 minutes for one adjustment in SW and a quick check through the video to see if the one-off adjustment applies throughout, then for a couple of my best clients I would just do it and send it back with greetings rather than an invoice.
But for the majority of direct clients I would just invoice a standard minimum (perhaps half an hour at my hourly rate) to reflect the admin and time involved. ▲ Collapse
