no indication of a circumscribed solid metatypical tumor mass in the liver Explanation: I think 'metatypical' is an obsolete term for basosquamous carcinoma. |

metatypical space occupying mass Explanation: Rf refers to Raumforderung and means "space occupying lesion or mass". See question http://www.proz.com/kudoz/german_to_english/medical_general/... Metatypical is to be used in the context with tumors. Reuter Dictionary translates "metatypisch with either "metatypical" or "metatypic". I am still trying to find an explanation for its meaning. |

metastatic mass Explanation: It is impossible to diagnose a 'metatypical' histology by ultrasound. Therefore 'metatypisch' is probably a slangy abbreviation for 'metastasentypisch': a mass showing the characteristics of a metastasis, or a mass suggestive of metastasis. |
