Lebenslauf
About me: I am a freelance translator and I'm accredited at the EU as a conference interpreter. Languages have been my passion since as long as I can remember!
What I specialize in:
Legal translation, with a focus on EU affairs and EU law. I also have extensive experience in translating, editing and proofreading agreements (loan agreements, transaction agreements, etc), software licence agreements - EULAs, Terms and Conditions, privacy statements.
Business documents, such as company policies and websites
Software/IT (for example, I was part of a three-month project translating a well-know HR and financial managing software into Italian)
Performing arts and theatre, auction houses, online art magazines
Where I studied: I graduated from the University of Trieste with a BA in Applied Interlinguistic Communication, and then went on to earn a MA in Conference Interpreting (with EMCI certificate and a dissertation about political speech, analyzing the rhetoric of the far right in Austria). Last year, I decided to complement my studies with a Master's Degree in Legal Translation from the University of Genova.
Further education and training: Of course I keep updating my skills with specific tranings, both language- and content-related. Most recently, for instance, I completed a short training in translating journalism. I have the chance of speaking all my working languages almost on a
daily basis and because of my assignments as interpreter, I'm always up to date with current affairs in the countries where my languages are spoken.
