🏔️ English to Japanese & Simplified Chinese | Climbing, skiing, mountaineering

Hello there!

At The Action Sports Translator [HIDDEN] we are looking for experienced English to Japanese and Simplified Chinese marketing translators who are familiar with mountain and winter sports such as climbing, skiing, and mountaineering.

It's very important that you are familiar with these sports first-hand, i.e. you practice them and/or you are exposed to them through your personal life and hobbies.

You will be translating 30-40K words of product descriptions about technical apparel and footwear (like backpacks, jackets, trousers and shoes) and technical hardware (like ropes, crampons, and carabiners) so it's essential that you are familiar with these items.

(we have several projects of this size in the same field running at the same time, so we will be recruiting multiple translators to join our current team)

We are looking to work with people who have experience in marketing translation, are good communicators and feel comfortable to ask questions (instead of just "working through" the original text). We also like to work with people who take pride and ownership in the results they deliver, and who would appreciate working in a team of equally great translators and editors who all work together toward the same goal. 🌟

Important: the project will start in the next 2-3 weeks and will run until mid April. We will split the workload among 2-3 translators and will have 1 editor. Please make sure you are available within this time frame.
