Thank you, Zhoudan. I remember you recommending the iPad to me more than a year ago, while we were in the middle of discussing that opening passage from "The Great Gatsby". It sure took me long enough to take action. On the other hand, I'm glad I waited for the iPad Air 2 with the souped-up A8X chip.
For what I mostly do, namely checking my mail, reading and watching CNN news, etc., an iPad is really all I need. And it is so energy efficient; the power bar hardly budges after long stretches of use.

Happy New Year!
Two days ago, I accidently spilled a glass of milk onto my MacBook Air while watching news on its screen. The accident took place exactly in the same way as shown in the above video clip I posted sometimes ago. The keyboard of my MacBook Air was almost completely immersed in the milk. I immediately took all necessary actions to remove the milk from the MacBook and then let it dry out on a shelf in the past two days. I thought the MacBook might be dead because I remember very well that the MacBook Air failed the water test in the above video clip. This morning, I turned on its power while keeping my fingers crossed. Miraculously, the MacBook came back alive and everything appeared to be normal. I was surprised to see that my MacBook Air survived the Spilled Milk Test!

Happy New Year to You! I'm sure you enjoyed a wonderful family get-together overall during the holidays, despite the little milk-spilling mishap. I'm glad to hear that the MacBook Air survived the Spilled Milk Test too, and didn't spoil any of your fun. 
Coincidentally, mine also survived an accidental drop couple of days ago. I wasn't too alarmed immediately after the drop took place, since I clearly remembered the results of the abuse test. The height mine fell from was a lot less, so there was indeed nothing to worry about.

I think I’d better treat my MacBook with more care from now on. In an accident like this, it is likely that the battery would be damaged instantly. I was just lucky this time.
