I got it now.
There were 2 dragon-themed stamps issued by the USPS. One
was issued in 2000, 庚辰年.
Steve,
That was a different series issued earlier by USPS.
Yueyin,
Thanks a lot. I haven't been keeping up with this. Actually, this is the 1st time I've laid eyes on the older series. I particularly like the Chinese paper-cutting images for the year of the tiger and the year of the monkey, besides that for the year of the dragon of course.

As I thought, the "standard-bearer", or an important pioneering force of this art form was 赵本山, who hails from the northeastern region of China.

Hi 林大哥,
Thanks for your concern. My father left the hospital 20 days ago. He's now continuing his treatment at home and is doing quite well. However, it may take a year or so for him to be fully recovered from his illness.
I meant to reply to you in Ying Wang's "freelancer's lifestyle" thread but then seeing that Meixia had started a new thread for the Chinese new year, I thought I'd better give you my best wishes here.
I am drooling over the 包子 in your picture. hehe

China tries a 'good Samaritan' law
The Chinese city of Shenzhen joins other governments around the world in passing a law that tries to remove the fear of legal liability in helping others in emergency distress. Rescuing others out of universal love shouldn't be held back by fear.

Perhaps it falls in the category of the combined art form of calligraphy AND painting.
