The Certificate in Court Interpreting follows the same six-course format. It is offered in English Spanish only. Students must take a ½ hour telephone interview as the entrance exam (cost is US $10, payable by certified check or postal money order only). IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS EXAM, YOU MUST CALL 212-998-7028 TO SET UP A TIME AND OBTAIN PERTINENT INFORMATION.
Once students pass the entrance exam, they must take Fundamentals of Court Interpreting. Upon passing this course with a grade of B or better, students must complete Simultaneous I, Simultaneous II, Consecutive Interpreting, Court Procedures, and Translation for Interpreters. At the time of this writing, Interpreting courses are priced at $870 each. Please note that Fundamental of Court Interpreting is priced at $1,065.
