I try to ask a spanish monolingual question. (a lexicographic question about spanish), but when I select (monolingual) as target language (source language as spanish), the kudoz question appear to spanish->mongolian!

BTW, how I can delete my missplaced kudoz question?

Please, try our very new moderator in Sp monolingual :-) Mar 21, 2004

Hi Garfield

If you want to ask a monolingual question in the second column you must chose "monolingual" (upper option).

Your question can be squashed, but you should give the link. Suggestion: as we have a new mod in Spanish mono, give him some work.

You're absolutely right Mar 21, 2004

There is a problem, I just tested and could see that the question I asked in
Spanish > monolingual
appeared for those who receive the message as "(Spanish>??)" and in the question itself as "Spanish>Mongolian".

I'm going to send a support Request.
I've changed your questions into Sp>Sp.

I think you scrolled the language down or up accidentally with the mouse Mar 21, 2004

This is probably because, after you selected "Monolingual", you have probably used the scroll button on you mouse and the language was changed and you didn't notice it.

You can ask any moderator to delete your question (members with more than 500 points can also delete questions), but there is also the possibility to edit the question (change the language pair) - I think persons with 100 points can edit questions.

It's a bug Mar 22, 2004

When asking a question, the monolingual option is the first one in the right column, where as all the languages are in alphabetical order.
I just tried a monolingual question in French and it also gave French>mongolian

I changed Garfield's question as monolingual, but notifications can't be send for monolingual questions (or are just sent to people who chose combinations with mongolian).

Seems that 'monolingual' is equated with 'Mongolian' ... Mar 24, 2004

... as the letter sequence of these two terms doesn't differ that much (fuzzy match). Looks like sth. programming-related. Jason, are you reading this?

MTIA for fixing,
Steffen
