I would like to know if it is possible to make some correction for KudoZ questions update.
It happens very often and it is not fair.
I see a question which shows no answer on the list.
I get in and work for the answer, still being the only one.
When I send my answer suddenly more answers are there posted minutes ago and sometimes already with "agree" or comments.
I have the feeling to work in vaine, because my answer comes always to late.

If I see an answer or more, I usually make an agree if it is correct, or other suggestion and I know from the begining I won't receive points.
Of course it could also be a blind competition, meaning everybody answers without knowing if there is another answer or if this one is correct. After a time one can see which was the first correct answer, without any influence.
But then let's make such a rule so that everybody works in fair conditions.
I also want to point out that choosing the answer after the time it was published is a little unfair when talking about minutes, because it is also a matter of computer reaction (some work slower) or network.
I must tell I had a situation when I had the same time with another person. So our answers have been sent at exactly the same time. Seldom, but real happened. How do you choose in such a case?
Perhaps the managers can find a solution for real timing.
Thank you.

...if you don't refresh your page, you won't see who has 'been in there first'. Keep refreshing your Proz.com homepage and you should be able to see all the answers. Also - might be worthwhile bearing in mind that this website should be about helping out fellow colleagues - and not just about point-scoring. Just a thought... | | |

since a couple of days. I get the questions from 2:49 GMT at 17:31. Knowing I am at GMT +1, that makes 16:21. Still three quarts of an hour to see the questions.

Dear Paul,
I keep refreshing, it is not this the reason.
I am sorry also to tell you that you are not quite right as long as KudoZ points are given and they are useful in order to get a job.
I like very much helping people, but I also need a job, I have to live. And it is also a matter of justice.
What lien says about questions that appear later it's true. Probably they are working here with some other time zones.

Hi lien,
Knowing I am at GMT +1
Er, not now... given DST, you're currently at UTC/GMT+2, right?
Cheers, Ralf | | |
