Angela, would you care to elaborate? No one had ever "effectively managed" me. Sounds downright offensive to my ears. Those who tried by telling me how much I am worth, and how many words I must produce in 5 minutes to make sure that their bank account inflow is "effective" were left to run their lives and businesses without me. More power to them.

Dear Irina,

I can see where this might sound weird for those who mainly work for agencies. But in this case, we are talking about direct clients. They manage resources, teams, processes, workflows, approval processes, and more. Nothing offensive about the term. But for the sake of clarity, I will edit the description.

Thank you for your feedback.

Thank you Tanya Jun 13

For your prompt response. I appreciate it.

I really can't see the difference but there is no need to go into it any further.

Today, I want to share with you the first two panelists: Greta Craxi and Cintia Kanowitz, both localization managers at global tech companies.

I am really looking forward to speaking with both and learning more about how they manage translation projects, how they build good relationships with freelance translators, and what they think is important for successful projects.

Here's the registration link again: https://www.proz.com/tv/LanguageTalks. Remember, all ProZ.com users can watch it live for free and catch the replay for 48 hours. Afterward, the recording will be available for paying members only.
