Same offer from Macey Jackobsen <maceyjackobsen@nextwavefreelance.org>
May 2
Hi,
I received the same offer from Macey Jackobsen and it seemed suspicious from the very beginning since it didn't state how they found my contact details. Also, they stated strange payment conditions like upfront payment of 50% after submitting 30% of the work in four days. Also, they kept talking about my "unique skills" although the have never worked with me. Too good to be true, for me!
Glad that I checked this website before committing to anything!

Hi,
I have received a similar email from nextwavefreelance.org offering:
"£5,500 for 15,182 words."
"Advance Payment: 50% of the budget after delivering the first 30% of the work."
"50% upfront after submitting the initial 30% of work."
It is too good to be true.
Regards,
Ahmed.

This is still going on! I received the first contact on 9 May 2025. It goes as follows:

I requested a PO and they sent an email offering the details for the project in very good English and credible. They also asked to register on the website, which I did! The website is still running, so please watch out! I also didn't get any warning from TranslatorsCafe on the matter which I find regrettable. I started the project and only realized it was scam a week after and the project was actually quite hard! I ended up not sending any work but still wasted my own valuable time on this! Some websites I believed to be reliable to check for legit work were also commending this organization so be very careful with any offers you get through the murals you usually look to find work from and the websites you search to confirm it is not a scam. None gave me warnings about this organization, on the contrary! ▲ Collapse
