The source is awkward to translate:
widerstansfähig- is clear bur resistent to what? Shock? Water? We don't know so "hard-wearing".
Vollgummi- "full rubber" sounds daft- so solid rubber.
Einfassung- for me has to be housing or body if we accept the "solid rubbber" bit.

The way I read it, the plastic has a metallic finish/appearance and is surrounded by rubber so it doesn't break if dropped.
