Für einen Betrag von 6.000 Gulden in bar oder deren Gegenwert in Wertpapieren konnten Wohltäter ein Spitalsbett stiften. Solcherart gestiftete Betten führten den Namen des Gönners, der auch ersichtlich gemacht wurde.
Es gab auch die „halbe Bettstiftung“, diese kostete 3.000 Gulden
