Powwow in Stuttgart - Sounds great!!! Sorry I could not make it to Würzburg. If all of you would like to do it in Stuttgart, I'd be willing to organize it. I can also provide the "out-of-towners" with info about cheap, but not sleazy hotels :-)

At the risk of upsetting everybody, especially Jennifer, I'm beginning to wonder if we couldn't split this pow-wow into two venues, one more in the north of Germany - I just checked with the Deutsche Bahn site and Stuttgart will take me 6-7 hours each way and cost around 214 EUR in spite of RailCard. Any suggestions?

Da die meisten von euch für Stuttgart sind, würde ich einfach mal sagen, dass wir das jetzt festhalten (Samstag, den 12. Oktober in Stuttgart). Selbstverständlich kann parallel dazu ja noch ein Powwow im Norden stattfinden, das müsste allerdings jemand anders organisieren. Wir könnten uns nachmittags (wie wäre es mit 15.00 Uhr?) treffen, damit diejenigen, die einen längeren Weg nach Hause haben und nicht über Nacht bleiben wollen, die Möglichkeit haben, an diesem Tag noch zurückz... Selbstverständlich kann parallel dazu ja noch ein Powwow im Norden stattfinden, das müsste allerdings jemand anders organisieren. Wir könnten uns nachmittags (wie wäre es mit 15.00 Uhr?) treffen, damit diejenigen, die einen längeren Weg nach Hause haben und nicht über Nacht bleiben wollen, die Möglichkeit haben, an diesem Tag noch zurückzufahren. Das Ende (Abend/ Nacht) können wir ja noch offen lassen.
Mein Vorschlag zum Ablauf: Wir treffen uns an einem zentralen Ort (ich hole euch auch gerne am Bahnhof ab) und gehen dann in ein nettes Café (oder treffen uns dort). Rechtzeitig zur Happy Hour verlagern wir das Ganze dann zum Mexikaner oder so.
Ich freue mich schon sehr darauf, euch alle kennen zu lernen.

OK, ich werde überlegen, wo wir im Norden 'was machen könnten: ich denke es wird sich keiner für Schwerin begeistern! Ich denke über Hannover, Paderborn, Göttingen oder Kassel nach.
Ich möchte noch eine Weile in der Stuttgart-Liste bleiben, wenn ich darf. Vielleicht schaffe ich es - aber ich müßte schon Freitag kommen und übernachten (der Zug am Sa. braucht 8 Stunden!).

Ich wohne recht zentral am Mittelrhein, aber Köln, Düsseldorf und Bonn liegen alle etwas näher wie Stuttgart. Wenn jemand dort einen PowWow organisieren möchte wäre ich auf jedem Fall dafür.

Also, ich kenne hier in Köln ein paar nette Ecken. Bonn geht zur Not auch noch. Essen wäre noch besser, da könnten wir was bei mir zu Hause machen (keine Hunde, falls jemand vor denen so viel Angst hat wie ich! (C;) Ich kann gerne die Organisation übernehmen. Allerdings geht bei mir vor September wg. Urlaub und diverser Messen nichts.
