Zum einen ist da das Hauptgerät mit einem Anzeigefeld sowie Regler für die entsprechend einzustellenden Werte. Diese Werte werden von den Ärzten bestimmt und von diesen oder dann dem Pflegepersonal eingestellt. Sie errechnen sich aus verschiedenen Faktoren, wie z.B. die Größe, das Gewicht und der Allgemeinzustand des Kindes. Es werden die Blutwerte und der Grund der Beatmung beachtet und ob das Kind ***mitatmen*** kann oder nicht. Es gibt verschiedene Beatmungsmodi, also die Art der Beatmung, die aber alle grundsätzliche Einstellungen haben.
