A legal document talking about a rifle not shooting straight. One sentence reads:
"Die Trefferleistung jeder Waffe ist (..) auf die Anschußscheibe unter folgenden Bedingungen zu ermitteln:"
I cannot find a translation on the internet for "Anschußscheibe". The only thing that comes to mind is "shooting target".
But is there any better alternative out there ?

My understanding is that "Anschussscheibe" refers to somewhere on the actual weapon to let the shooter know how far it can actually shoot.

| I don't think this is right in my particular context. Further down in the text it talks about the distance from the "Rohrmündung bis Scheibe: 200 m" so the "Scheibe" is somewhere further away. THANKS for the input though. |
