Hi,
We are two Legal translation students in Paris and we are doing a small market research on the International institutions that employ legal translators. We are having a hard time finding concrete figures and statistics on that matter (we only found figures on translation in general). Could anyone please help us either with relevant sources or with your personal experiences, if you worked as a translator for any international organization, for example. We'd like to have some kind of confirmation (or not) that most of the work in such institutions involves legal translations ; also, an average number of how many translators these institutions employ. Is the need still high and is it specifically higher for legal translators or translators with a reasonable legal knowledge ?
Any help on that issue is really appreciated. Thanks a lot. (We're new here, so we hope we're posting in the right place!) ▲ Collapse
