Hi, I need to extract several thousand words worth of textboxes from a Word document and BLUE Werecat isn't doing it for me. It extracts them OK but it can't put them back. I suspect it's because there are textboxes nested within other objects and when Werecat replaces the outer object it overwrites the inner textbox so it isn't there when Werecat tries to replace it.

I think MemoQ can handle textboxes quite well, you might consider using it for this particular job?

Hi,
maybe you can translate with WFC and then use this TM to translate until fuzzy in WFP.

translate the stuff with WFC, convert it to TMX, convert the source files to OpenDocument with OpenOffice.org or Sun ODF plugin for Microsoft Office, translate them with OmegaT and convert back.

In the end, I came up with a simpler solution. All of the offending textboxes were on about 10 pages and I had the agency retype them!

Sometimes, the low-tech answer is the best answer
