German term

Tagesscheibe

German to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)
Unfortunately I have very little in the way of context, as the word comes up in a text I'm translating about how documents are to be filed. There's a long list of different types of documents, including receipts, invoices, written correspondence, etc. One of the items is' Tagesscheibe'. It may well relate to something to do with trucks and lorries, and possibly tolls. I'm sort of tempted to think of 'tachograph', but I'm really not sure.

Can anyone confirm / shed any light on this?

Thanks in advance :)

tachograph disc

Think it must be this, it is the round pierce of paper which the lorry driver has to put into the tachograph when he is driving the lorry. Every day it is a new one, hence the word "Tagesscheibe"

Another option to describe this. Alternative German terms are "Diagrammschreibe" or "Tachoscheibe".

Found this

Als Tagesscheibe bezeichnet man den Teil (zum Beispiel einer Lieferung),
der auf einen Tag entfällt. Der von dir zu übersetzende Vertrag sieht
anscheinend vor, dass irgendetwas täglich geliefert wird und dass eine
andere Sache auf Abruf zusammen mit der täglichen Lieferung überbracht
wird.

Note from asker:
Thanks Kim - I found this too, but I don't think this explanation actually relates to a document, which I think this 'Tagesscheibe' is in the context of the text I have...

another find

It is along the lines of K. Metzger's find.
Table on page 15: Tagesscheibe is translated to a day period.

So maybe it just means "delivery note"?

The only other Tagesscheiben I could find are parts of watches...

"So maybe it just means "delivery note"?" -> Since your text is talking about different documents.
