"Hierbei handelt es sich allerdings lediglich um finanzielle Verpflichtungen und nicht um dingliche Verpflichtungen (Dingliche Verpflichtungen sind nur unter den Haftungsverhältnissen angabepflichtig.)

collateral? tangible? PLEASE don't tell me it's "in rem"! :-) I need accounting speak, not lawyer speak.

TRW One difference arising in the text is that "dingliche" obligations are not normally quantifiable, i.e. a monetary value can't be assigned. Does that help any?

How about real obligations? This would be even broader in scope than property obligations.

maybe, by analogy to 'dinglichen Rechten'.

The point seems to be that more onerous obligations are implicit in the second.

If the question is about liabilities that may be possible, but may not occur or have not occured, then contingent liabilities should be the term you are looking for.
