Looks like the simplest sollution proves to be the best again. I just want to add something to this, you can record the 10 find replaces as a single macro and then use the macro. So with a single key combination you can turn all XX.XX into XX,XX.

I tried it once and it didn't work. It would *find* the wildcards but wouldn't *replace* with the same wildcards.
So just do ten replaces:
.0 to ,0
.1 to ,1
.2 to ,2
...
.9 to ,9
It's not that bad, I actually replaced once "A" through "Z" and it only took a minute. | | | Gerard de Noord Frankreich Local time: 09:51 Mitglied (2003) Englisch > Niederländisch + ... Converting financial seperators | Sep 2, 2003 |

I'm sure it can be done more neatly, though.

What about:
First find .([0-9][0-9])>
Replace with ,backslash1
Use Wildcards
Then find ([0-9]),([0-9][0-9][0-9])
Replace with backslash1.backslash2
Use Wildcards

Yes, that was the kind of thing I was thinking of. I'm familiar with regular expressions, but not with Word (hehe) - I could have done it in tcl/tk, for instance, but the syntax is different.
Having said that, I actually agree with PAS - better not to do it at all, except perhaps within tables etc.
