These people do not have the time to rant here and need to bring bread to their families everyday. Many of them are not in the situation to start an all out war with low payers and will accept such offers no questions asked, especially when it is especially hard to find any kind of job, and if working at the offered rate (e.g. 0.02) brings home 3-6 times more money than doing unqualified work.

Translators in such conditions will only raise their rates when the living costs in their country no longer permit them charging less than it is needed to make a living.

Unfortunately, intellectual work and work itself was never paid well in this upside-down world. It is better to go and rob people on the Wall Street or learn how to kick a football.

...just as no one can force these people to seek out higher rates by working exclusively for clients in higher-paying countries or force them not to take jobs for which they are not qualified, no one can force us to like them or sit back and just be silent about it.
