Hello everyone!

First off I would like to thank you all for your time. You have no idea how much I appreciate your help. Now let me tell you a little about me and what kind of assistance I am looking for. I was born and raised in Ukraine. I am fluent in Russian, Ukrainian and English languages. I have moved to the US 5 years ago. Currently I live in Orange County, CA as well as travel on a weekly basis to Ensenada, Mexico. Helping others as well as speaking other languages has always been a passion of mine. After much thought I have decided to become Certified RussianEnglish Court Interpreter. As well as SpanishEnglish in the future. I have researched this particular career from every angle and I am aware that in order to pursue it I need to pass the examination. I would like to know if there are schools, programs or tutoring available to get me started. After completing my Associate's Degree I am planning to major in Russian and minor in Spanish. Please let me know if I am on the right track and if you can provide any other related suggestions.

Kind regards, Anastasiya.

Sworn/certified interpreter Jan 19, 2011

By doing Internet or Proz.com search for "sworn interpreter" or "certified interpreter," you see munch information e.g. Wikipedia says that US government requirements need no sworn interpreter now but you can demonstrate your language abilities in a number of ways. Also bear in mind that interpretation and translation are much interrelated (and both help you to develop your language ability efficiently).
