What would you advise for someone who would like to turn to Conference Interpreting (EN-AR-FR) in the UK please?
Thanking you in advance for sharing your experiences and advices.

I may be a little out of touch but the universities of Bath, Bradford, Heriot-Watt (Edinburgh), Leeds and Salford used to offer among the best degree courses in Conference Interpreting in the UK. Westminster was good too, but I believe the Government's withdrawal of funds has caused it to close down its MA course in Interpreting.
Best wishes for success in your hunt,
Clive

It has a very good MA in interpreting program (especially in Spanish), but it does not have a MA in CI. I think CI is only offered as a module within the MA program.

Hi all,
I came across your post as I was searching for information on an MA in Conference Interpreting within the UK. I recently contacted several universities and unfortunately Clive is right - Westminster confirmed that they are no longer offering the MA in Course Interpreting. I am still waiting to hear back from some of the other ones.
Abdel, can I ask if you have had any luck finding out more information on UK courses? I live in Derby in the East Midlands and would ideally be looking for a course not too far away. Equally, if anyone knows of any reputable online/distance courses, I would be interested in hearing more about that if such exist for interpreting.
Thanks,
Carla

Dear Clive, Diana and Carla
Many thanks for your contributions and very useful advices.
I am contacting the Unis mentioned and more (locally) and will keep you updated as soon as I have something concrete.
As for the Dist./Online course Carla, I am not sure of the feasibility / effectiveness of the course as I imagine it is quiet intensive interpreting practicing in a specific environment (booths etc.)..?
Good luck!
Kind regards
Abdel
