Deutsch term
existenz-bedrohende Risiken
What they mean here is the loss of their entire business operation. I know how to explain it, but does anyone know the proper term used in risk management reports in the US?
Mar 21, 2007 14:58: Marcus Malabad changed "Level" from "Non-PRO" to "PRO"
Mar 22, 2007 10:01: Steffen Walter changed "Term asked" from " existenz-bedrohende Risiken" to "existenz-bedrohende Risiken" , "Field (specific)" from "Wirtschaft/Handel (allgemein)" to "Management/Verwaltung"
Proposed translations
risks that threaten the company's continued existence
business-jeopardizing risks
risks which threaten the profitability/subsistence/existence level (like income level etc.)
existential risks

: A good rephrasing/wording of my suggestion and might fit well into a US management report!

Thanks mjb. I'm frankly a little surprised that the dictionary definition seems to be ahead at the moment.
