German term

punktschw.

German to English Tech/Engineering Manufacturing Consultancy
Does anyone know what this abbreviation could stand for? It is used in a flow diagram showing the use of the electricity within a motor manufacturing plant.

Thanks

Simon

tack welding

as per the multi-language welding dictionary I have
Peer comment(s):

neutral Ken Cox : most likely spot welding -- tack welding is a temporary form of welding to hold parts together for subsequent permanent assembly, while spot welding is a permanent assembly technique

neutral Ruth Wiedekind : like Ken; "tack welded" is "heftgeschweißt/geheftet"
