Warning for French agency

I know I can't name it here, so I invite people to PM me and I'll let them know. This agency had good ratings on a different, well-known translator list, yet just contacted me for my first project six months after registering - post-editing at €0.04 per word.

I no longer belong to the other list, so cannot leave a comment there.

Why is a warning needed? Jun 25, 2015

Obviously, it's not a job I'd accept, and I doubt I'd want to work with the agency at all. But anyone contacted by them will be able to see for themselves, surely?

You can only leave comments on the BB here if you've actually worked with them, and low rates aren't really a valid reason for slating them. If you accept then you accept - not the agency's fault.

Because some freelancers prefer not to waste their time signing up with agencies like this. Their freelance form was ten webpages long. That normally is a deal-breaker for me, but I slogged through given the good ratings elsewhere. Lesson learned!
