I think most translators are very fond of words and references like this are big temptations: should I grab all the terms, find (or write, as I know many of them after watching the Tour on TV for many years) the Spanish equivalents and make a nice termbase with it all?

The idea is enormously attractive. As it would be to record bird species in several languages (it is said that some 4-5 thousand exist, some 800 only in Europe), engine parts, semiconductors, screw and bolt types, lay

The idea is enormously attractive. As it would be to record bird species in several languages (it is said that some 4-5 thousand exist, some 800 only in Europe), engine parts, semiconductors, screw and bolt types, layers of a road, types of bridges and their parts, etc. It's just a disgrace that we don't have the time to research all these things! If we translators spent 1 hour a day researching new fields for the proper terms, we would soon understand that knowledge is a synonym of words. Know the words, and you know it all!
